NIRS Points Allocation - Battery Town Rally Bay of Plenty
We are excited to share with you the outcome of our thorough decision-making process concerning the allocation of series points for NIRS events featuring both National and Clubman Rally permits.
Background and Decision:
After extensive consultations, involving Competitors, MSNZ, Rally NZ, Rally Commission members, and Mainland Rally Championship organizers, the NIRS Executive Committee has reached a decision that aligns with our overarching goals.
Two Separate Result Profiles:
The heart of our mission is to support and promote both Regional and Clubman Rally competitors and officials. With this in mind, and based on valuable feedback, we have decided to separate events into two distinct result profiles.
Points Allocation:
For fairness and to cater to our target markets, we will be awarding full points to National Rally competitors and half points to Clubman Rally participants covering approximately half the National Rally distance. This balanced approach ensures that both segments are acknowledged.
Upcoming Trial:
We are excited to put this decision into action. The Battery Town Rally of the Bay of Plenty on October 15th, 2023, will be the first trial of this system. Post-event, we will review its effectiveness and gather insights for future improvements.
Looking Ahead:
As we gear up for 2024, the NIRS Executive Committee hopes that Round Organizers will consider providing similar dual competitor opportunities wherever feasible.
Your involvement is at the heart of what we do, and we greatly appreciate your continued support. We're committed to creating an exciting and equitable rallying experience for all.
